Meteomatics and West Point Engineering supplies partner to provide Metodrone-gathered insights into weather events in the Philippines

St Gallen: Meteomatics AG, the Swiss-based global weather service provider and weather drone expert, is delighted to announce the signing of its partnership with leading Philippines based technology and equipment service provider West Point Engineering Supplies Inc.

The companies are formalising their business engagement in order to develop new go-to-market strategies with specific emphasis on the use of drones in high-altitude atmospheric data gathering. The strategic business alliance will focus on joint customer development in the Philippines and will help both companies take a leading role in shaping the Philippines meteorological drone market.

After years of independent customer successes and value creation, Meteomatics and West Point Engineering Supplies have now jointly recognised the growing market opportunity for Meteodrone-enabled local forecasting solutions in key Philippines vertical segments including transport, energy, and logistics in both private and public sectors.

“We are delighted to develop our relationship with West Point Engineering Supplies and welcome them as a growing partner in our mission to lead the next generation of meteorological technology for the modern enterprise,” said Dr Martin Fengler, Founder and CEO of Meteomatics. “By working with West Point’s deep expertise in the delivery of innovative engineering and technical equipment and solutions we look forward to integrating our industry-leading Meteodrones into the Philippines market, and to creating an alliance that will help public and private organisations all over the Philippines derive more value and insights from environmental data than ever before.”

With an increased frequency and severity of extreme weather, it’s unsurprising that there’s a real desire to better forecast these events.

Meteomatics’ Meteodrones solve critical challenges for today’s leading-edge organisations by giving them access to high quality environmental data taken from ground level up to 3km, the Planetary Boundary Layer and beyond. By using these Meteodrone-gathered environmental data, organisations can quickly gain deep insights into current and future operational challenges and risks.

West Point Engineering Supplies President and CEO, Dennis T. Zignay comments: “At West Point Engineering Supplies, we take pride in working with world-leading partners to deliver high quality, innovative technical capabilities to our customers; Meteomatics have been really transparent and open to engage with, and we share the same cultural values that put the delivery of high quality engineering and innovative solutions at the centre of our customer relationships.”
