The Konecty test switches have been developed according to the strictest security standards within the electric sector, designed to enable total security for the operators of electrical panels.
This being the simplest, quickest and most reliable way of performing tests, calibration and general monitoring of electrical equipment, without any need to de-energise the systems, we can therefore conduct potential and current tests on relays and energy measuring devices, among other industrial applications.
Main cover with protection function during maintenance
It serves for protection when the test switch has open poles, that is, during maintenance, whereby the lower part of the switch, which is energized, is completely protected in case of impact or dropping of any tool or electricity-conducting object.
To use the KEY-SL cover as protection for maintenance/testing, it is necessary that, with one or more poles open, the position of the cover is inverted, positioning the studs of the test switch in the lower holes of the cover and fixing with the closing nut, as per the example.
The poles will remain isolated and the operator will have the freedom to work on the contacts without danger.
Optional
Application and operation
The KEY-SL switches allow electrical isolation for connection, repair, or monitoring of equipment when the blades are in the open position. In the closed position, the KEY-SL maintains the operation and continuity of the electrical circuits within their normal characteristics.
Base
Injected in plastic material with excellent insulation and mechanical resistance, being able to withstand high temperatures without deformation in its structure. It can be supplied in the following versions:
Main cover
Injected in transparent plastic material with high resistance against mechanical shocks. The cover is removable and has anti-fraud sealing devices. Designed to protect the connection terminals and provide more agility to the operator. It has indelible identification with information about the manufacturer, product, model, year of manufacture, voltage, and current.
Voltage and current selector assemblies
All sectioning assemblies are manufactured in special extra hard brass, with spring effect and surface treatment for component protection. They have excellent mechanical resistance and electrical conductivity.
The voltage sectioning assemblies consist of simple blade switches and independent activation for potential circuits. They are separated by insulating barriers modeled on the base and with reinforced height to avoid any possibility of voltage arcs.
The current sectioned assemblies are composed of blade switches that allow short-circuiting of the current transformer secondaries, before the total opening of the blades. Along with these disconnectors, there is a test bridge for each current circuit, allowing the use of auxiliary equipment without the need to disconnect conductors.
Neutral pole
Consists of a continuous key or blade manufactured in special extra hard brass connecting the input and output terminals of the switch.
Blade activation keys
Injected in high-resistance insulating plastic material to protect the operator from touching conductive parts. They are designed with a design for a more ergonomic opening and can be configured with different colors, circuit identifiers, and mechanical interlocking pins to open two blades at the same time.
Connection terminals
They are produced in brass with surface treatment and excellent electrical conductivity, allowing a firm and secure connection of conductors.
Assembly and connection
The assembly of KEY-SL switches is carried out frontally on panels and metering sets.
Its installation is designed to provide safety and practicality for operators. Its fixation is made through four M5 screws that are located, after the installation is completed, inside the main cover which has a security seal against fraud.
The fixing of conductors is done on M5 terminals, and can also be done through eyelet-type connectors (minimum internal diameter of 4.2mm and maximum external diameter of 11.5mm) or directly through stripped conductors using conductor fixing plates of the claw type existing in the KEY-SL connection terminals.
The tightening of the connection terminals can be carried out through a conventional screwdriver or even using 5/16″ socket hex keys. The KEY-SL connection terminals also allow the use of “banana” type plugs, thus obtaining greater flexibility according to the operators’ needs.
