LAICO™ SOBLI
Self Operating Balloons Launcher Instrument

LAICO™ SOBLI provides you with autonomous technologies for remotely controlled, efficient, reactive and safe cloud seeding for hail risk mitigation or rain/snow enhancement. With the standard version each operator can launch, with a simple SMS/WEB command, 1 to 6 balloons. Each embarks either 23g of silver iodide or 220g of hygroscopic salts, up to 2000 m altitude in about 7 to 15 minutes.

Thanks to its embedded processing unit LAICOTM SOBLI inflator:
• Remotely commands balloons launch through SMS/WEB command
• Checks the flares connected to each balloon for safe flights
• Transmits flight plans to the smart seeding balloons
• Inflates the balloons with the optimum quantity of helium
• Launches the balloons automatically once the inflation is over
• Provides SOBLI’s instrumentation remote global monitoring
(gas, flares & balloons stocks, security checks…).

 

THE SAFEST AERIAL CLOUD SEEDING VECTOR AVAILABLE
Up to 6 balloons can be pre-loaded in LAICOTM SOLBI’s standard version. With 1m3 of helium, each LAICO™ smart seeding balloon spread 23g of silver iodide or 220g of hygroscopic salts at the base of the cloud in very safe and competitive conditions. Upon customization, LAICO™ smart seeding balloon needs between 3’30’’ and 7’ to reach its target. The microchip embedded on the LAICO™ smart seeding balloon lightens the flare
that spreads the agent.

A COMPETITIVE & REACTIVE SOLUTION FOR CONTINUOUS SEEDING
When a cloud that has been seeded precipitates, active component must be restored in case of an aftershock. Thanks to SOBLI, it is possible to transfer active component nearby the targeted cell in a few minutes. With a simple SMS/WEB command you can remotely order the immediate launch of several balloons from selected SOBLI Inflators. This reactivity is unprecedented.
