DAT CONTROLER® PLUS evolved to its DAT CONTROLER® REMOTE version with the addition of IoT connectivity, allowing self-assessment and daily communication of the lightning rod status, thus making it the first smart lightning arrester on the market.
Smart Early Streamer Emission (ESE) Air Terminal
DAT CONTROLER® REMOTE combines Early Streamer Emission (ESE) lightning protection with built-in self-diagnostics and Internet of Things (IoT) connectivity.
The air terminal automatically evaluates its own status and communicates results daily to the AT-CLOUD platform, supporting preventive and corrective maintenance.
The lightning air terminal carries out its own diagnostic check and sends the results to the AT-CLOUD server. Users can review its condition from a connected device and receive customized notifications.
| Technology | Early Streamer Emission (ESE) air terminal |
|---|---|
| Remote functions | Daily self-diagnosis, IoT communication, AT-CLOUD status visualization and custom notifications |
| Communications | Manufacturer lists 2G, 3G, LTE-M and NB-IoT technologies |
| ESE standard | UNE 21186:2011; manufacturer also lists related standards including NF C 17-102:2011 |
| Product certification | AENOR N Product Certification No. 058/000005, as stated by the manufacturer |
| Rain performance | Manufacturer states certified insulation greater than 95% in accordance with UNE-EN 60060-1:2012 |
Protection radius depends on installation geometry, lightning protection level and applicable ESE calculation standards; no fixed radius is stated here.
ESE air terminals must be installed according to the applicable lightning protection standard and engineered for the site. The manufacturer’s guidance references UNE 21186 installation requirements.
